Sean grew up playing drums in the churches of North Texas. He attended North Central Texas College on a full performance scholarship. In 2013 he placed second in the TCCBDA Jazz Competition. He played drums with the U-TUBES on a recording that won them the national 2018 American Trombone Workshop award.
Sean graduated from the University of North Texas with honors. He earned his Bachelors in Music Performance with a concentration in Jazz Studies, Drum set.
While at UNT he studied with world renown drummers Quincy Davis, Stockton Hellbing and Ed Soph.
Sean is devoted to making the world a more musical place.
Sean recently released his debut EP Sean Francis Lynch ‘Somewhere, Nowhere, Here’ all original compositions and poetry. The album features different incarnations of his trio, quartet and even his live 30 piece chaos choir/jazz ensemble.
When Sean isn't playing drums you can find him reading and writing poetry, annoying his girlfriend by tapping on everything as well as meditating.
